rapevine is home to the 127-foot-high Clock Tower Glockenspiel featuring two larger-than-life, 9-foot tall Glockenspiel characters, known as the Would-Be Train Robbers, Nat Barrett and Willy Majors. Located 75-feet in the air, these figures emerge several times each day to attempt the perfect heist and learn that crime just doesn’t pay. The Grapevine Clock Tower Glockenspiel is a symbol of welcome and friendship for locals and visitors alike.
Step back in time to the nineteenth century on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s excursion train pulled by an 1896 steam locomotive, No. 2248 or commonly known as Puffy, or a 1953 diesel engine, No. 2199, commonly known as Vinny. The Grapevine Vintage Railroad has four enclosed circa 1925 passenger coaches, and two circa 1927 open-air patio cars/touring coaches. Most weekends, the Grapevine Vintage Railroad makes round-trip excursions from Grapevine’s Cotton Belt Railroad Depot to Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards Station, as well as hosts special events throughout the year. One hour excursions are also available.
